WHO WE ARE
We are a small church in Govan seeking to love God and our neighbour. We started as a replant of another Reformed Baptist church here in Glasgow through the work of a Grace Baptist church in Edinburgh. As a church, we hold to the doctrines of grace, which emphasise that God is sovereign in salvation. We exist to make disciples for the glory of God.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
We believe that the Bible is the word of God, and that 'all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work' (2 Timothy 3:16-17). Our Statement of Faith is the Second London Confession of Faith, commonly known as the 1689 Baptist Confession.
We seek to be led by a plurality of elders, following the clear teaching of the Bible. We do, however, currently have only one elder, our pastor Daniel Funke. Daniel is married to Monet. He studied at the University of Aberdeen, and worked previously at the Banner of Truth Trust. He is a cofounder and the editorial director of Parresia, a new Reformed Baptist publishing house based in Scotland.
